Results of the second Hogan vs. Flair show on 11-24 in Perth

The setup was decent, with a big screen periodically playing backstage vignettes throughout the night and a ring adorned with red and yellow Hulkamania ropes. Music and titantrons were all generic. Crowd was shy to start off with, but got into the show as it went along and were really hot for the main event.

Here are the results:

Match 1 - Rikishi & Brian Christopher def. Rock Of Love

Basic match built around Rikishi setting up and eventually performing the stinkface. It got a decent pop from the crowd. Rikishi sat on a guy for the win. Rikishi, Christopher and the referee danced after the match

Match 2 - Shannon Moore def. Spartan 3000 Matt Cross

It was announced this was the 2nd match in a best of 3 series to win $25,000.Matt Cross has a Spartan warrior gimmick. Moore won with a corkscrew moonsault, tying the series at 1-1. Moore looked good, I could see him fitting in OK in TNA.

Match 3 - Rosey def. Godfather (w/Hos) and Val Venis in a Three Way Dance

Rosey came out in his old superhero gear. According to his titantron, his ring name was Big Daddy Row Row. Val Venis heeled on the crowd before the match. Godfather's Hos got the second biggest pop of the night. Basically Rosey and Godfather teaming up on Val. Funny moment where Rosey was hitting jabs on Val and the crowd chanted S.H.I.T. with each punch. Rosey pinned Val with a samoan drop. Rosey and Godfather left together with the Hos after the match.

Match 4 - Heidenreich & Gangrel & Black Pearl def. Nasty Boys & Eugene (w/Jimmy Hart)

Heidenreich was doing the Heidenwalk. Gangrel did the blood spit. Lots of stalling in this match, the heels got the heat on Eugene as the Nasty Boys pumped up the crowd. Sags looks in really good shape, Knobs not so much. At one point as the heels worked on Eugene, Gangrel screamed Kill that retard!. Probably the worst match of the night. Jimmy Hart doesn't seem to age. Heidenreich ended up pinning Eugene with a sidewalk slam. Nastys teased using some plunder, but didn't deliver.

Intermission

Bikini Contest - 3 unknowns came out and Godfather hosted. It ended up breaking down into a pillow fight.

Match 5 - Orlando Jordan def. Ken Kennedy

Kennedy did his pre-match mic routine but said Mr Anderson instead. Orlando's theme music has a line saying All the girls love me, and all the guys want to get with me. Probably the best match of the night, they worked well together. Orlando got the pin using the ropes.

Match 6 - Umaga def. Brutus Beefcake (w/Jimmy Hart)

Strange matchup. Very short, with Umaga getting the pin after the Samoan Spike. Brutus sold it big time and was helped to the back afterwards.

Match 7 - Hulk Hogan def. Ric Flair (w/Lacey Von Erich)

Before the match, the ring announcer said this is now No DQ. Deafening reactions for both Hogan and Flair. Hogan came out to the WCW American Made theme music. Both bled heavily very early in the match. Lots of chops to Hogan, he took his only back bump in the match from one of them. Hogan threw Flair off the top rope. Flair did the full moon spot. Orlando Jordan and Heidenreich came out and started beating down Hogan, but the Nasty Boys made the save and also gave Flair Pitty City. Hogan and Flair crowd brawled for a while. At one point Jimmy Hart came out and pulled Lacey Von Erich off the apron, accidentally exposing her ass for a moment. Hogan also gave her an atomic drop. Umaga then came out and beat up on Hogan and gave him the corner splash. Hogan then Hulked up, gave Flair a terrible big boot then clocked him with Jimmy Hart's megaphone for the pin.

Hogan did his posing routine for a few minutes after the match to end the show.

In retrospect, the show was nothing special. The action was basic, and the spectacle of the main event got really cheapened by all the run-ins. However, it was worth it for the chance to see both Hogan and Flair live, especially here in isolated Western Australia.

She really is hotter in person like the Melbourne fans were saying.
Those pics in the pic thread don't do her ass justice.

Holy shit the only bump Hogan took was off of a chop? ROFL

If this gets any worse they're going to have to get Lacey to do a Kimona Wannalaya to prevent the crowd from rioting.

Hulkamania tour 11-26 in Brisbane

By Nathan Spurling

It was really a one match show, as you'd expect. Everyone was there for Hogan v Flair and were vocal for it. Everything else was pretty bad, people heckled a lot of wrestlers they had no idea who they were. When introducing wrestlers like Nick Dinsmore and Sean Morley, they had to put photos up on the big screen so people could realise who they were.. even then, most were met with a lot of "Whose that?"

Pimp Fatha beat Heidenreich in a short, bad match. They botched the roll up finish too.

Shannon Moore and Spartan 3000 went to a time limit draw. The best match on the card, but that's not saying much. The crowd cheered Spartan due to the movie '300', but he was the clear heel. They teased a ladder match after, but Spartan bailed, setting it up for the Sydney show.

Sean Morley beat Nick Dinsmore. Morley did his 'hello ladies' shtick. Dinsmore was total Eugene, even his old WWE costume. Morley won after ripping up a stuffed Koala Bear, Dinsmore got upset, then punted in the head. Morley's out of shape.

They did a very lame Bikini contest with the 3 women. No idea who they were. Lacey didn't do it.

INTERMISSION

Second half was a lot better. Mr Anderson and Brutus Beefcake beat Umaga and Orlando Jordan. Anderson worked most of the match, and despite earlier reports, wasn't in too bad of shape. Beefcake did nothing.

A 4 on 4 elimination match saw Rikisihi, Brian Christopher and Nasty Boys beat Rock of Love, Vampire Warrior and Black Pearl. A clusterfuck. First Christopher was pinned quickly. Then it broke down. Nasty Boys were DQed for brawling outside with Rock of Lobe. Then Rock of Love were counted out, leaving Kishi against the other 2. Kishi pinned Black Pearl and won, even though Warrior was never pinnned. Just retarded.

They did a backstage bit where Warrior and Pearl attacked Kishi and Brian setting up a match Sunday in Sydney.

Main event.. Hulk pinned Flair in about 10 minutes. Hogan didn't take any bumps.. bled right away ( and some idiot fan, after he bladed, wiped his hand over Hulk's forehead to see if it was real). Flair bladed eventually. Brawled a lot around ring. Lacey was with Flair and got involved, Hulk dropped her, Flair fell in her crotch etc. Umaga, Jordan did run ins. Funniest bit was Flair chopping and punching Umaga to fire him up. Hulk eventually used Jimmy Hart's megaphone to knock Flair out and win.

Crowd loved Flair and Hulk.

Overall, a dud show besides the main event, which was purely for nostalgia reasons. Both are out of shape (first time Ive seen Hulk really sag in stomach and chest area), and was kind of sad to see them wrestle in front of a bad crowd, this out of shape.

I can see why people left early in Melbourne.. if I had to pay the 350 for the ticket I got, Id be very upset at wasting that kind of money on this event.

Lions "too pretty" to be wrestlers: Hulk Hogan

Wrestling legend Hulk Hogan reckons Brisbane Lions players would have a good chance at becoming professional wrestlers - if they weren't such pretty boys.

"These guys would be great professional wrestlers but they're just all too pretty, we need to beat them up a little bit - they all look like movie stars," Hogan said.

"When I was here before I went to an AFL game and I was impressed, I actually went back to America and watched American football and it sucks.

"It's just amazing the shape these guys are in and they just keep going and never stop and they get hit from every single direction you can imagine."

Hogan met Brisbane Lions players yesterday ahead of his stadium spectacular Hulkamania last night at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre.

The bandana-clad veteran of American wrestling said he hoped the Lions players would come out to watch his show tonight and perhaps even jump ship and follow him to the US.

"I just hope and pray all these guys come out tonight and enjoy the show and maybe we can get them into wrestling and we can take them back to the States," he said.

TMZ Features Ric Flair's Butt, Hogan/Adam Lambert

A TMZ update from the Hulkamania tour features the one graphic aspect of legacy many Ric Flair fans likely hope will not prove everlasting

The story, a brief, photo-centric update, features images of a bloodied Hulk Hogan pulling Ric Flair's tights down during one of their matches. Censored, in part, with a red line up the middle, the images nonetheless represent a somewhat clean shot of the 60-year-old wrestler's rear end.

Following the photos, TMZ writes, "That's what you call a foul play," before comparing Hogan's action to Adam Lambert's controversial American Music Awards performance: "No word if Hulk's antics will get him banned from "Good Morning America" too."

This is great:

Filmmaker shrinks Hulk Hogan

They may be mountains of muscle in real life but a Sydney-based filmmaker has made professional wrestlers Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair look like dollhouse figurines through the magic of tilt-shift photography.

Keith Loutit has used a combination of special photo lenses and time lapse animation to create a fascinating short film of last Saturday's Hulkamania show in Melbourne.

Filming from a distance using lenses designed for close-ups, Loutit has created the impression viewers are watching an animation using hundreds of toys instead of the real thing.

"Tilt-shift photography creates a narrow depth of field, It creates the illusion of something that is really small and close to the eye," Loutit told ninemsn.

"Time lapse creates the very jerky feel which makes it feel like claymation."

Loutit's individual style has previously been used to make films of a Brisbane monster truck rally and the Sydney Mardi Gras.

"Most of the work I do is documentary work around Sydney but I wanted an opportunity to shoot something that I felt would suit the style, like the monster truck event and Hulkamania," he said.

"Hulk Hogan was such a pop culture icon in the '80s and '90s and people of my generation had Hulk Hogan action figures, so it seemed like a good choice."

Loutit has also used the style to film commercials for National Australia Bank and Italian finance company UGF.

Final Hulkamania tour show in Sydney

By Dann Lennard

Lot of older guys here tonight – a sea of red'n'yellow (plus the odd NWO "Hollywood" Hogan t-shirt). Some kids. I saw a few Cena and Triple H shirts and one Beer Money Inc. T-shirt.

The freaks are out tonight, too. This is not a family atmosphere, like your typical WWE event. However, it's a pretty hot crowd.

Card started horribly.

1. Pimpfather (with four underaged Filipino ladies) b Sean Morely. Pimp kept calling him "Val". The pre-match banter was real WWF Attitude Era stuff – it makes you realise how much Vince has toned down the product in recent years. Match went barely five minutes and was just okay.

2. Nasty Boys (w/ Jimmy Hart) DCOR Rock Of Love (or whatever those indy guys are called). Thirty-second brawl outside the ring, then both teams were counted out and they brawled to the back. Crowd was stunned and it killed the crowd for the next match.

3. Heidenreich b Nick Dinsmore. Dinsmore worked total Eugene-style, which made for a hideous match. Heidenreich doesn't know what gimmick he's doing now: it's part-psycho, part-soldier, part-Eugene. Sadly, all the parts add up to the total shits in the ring. Five minutes of sheer badness. At this point, I felt this was an odds-on winner for worst live card ever.

4. A video played of the Nastys brawling with the jibronies out the back; they then brawled to the ring and Jimmy Hart declared it was an "Australian street fight". Lots of water cooler shots to the head and, more disturbingly, a ton of chair shots to the head. The jobbers got destroyed and the Nastys won. It was a fine little garbage match in the style of the old Public Enemy matches in mid-90s ECW. Just wish there hadn't been so many blows to the head. This match got the crowd back into the show.

5. Black Pearl/Vampire Warrior b Jr Fatu/Brian Christopher. Brian looked pretty good early on. The ending – with Pearl pinning Brian – was botched horribly and I thought at first that it was Brian's fault.

But a wrestler friend told me it was because Pearl was in the wrong position for the last few moves. Anyway, Black Pearl is pretty horrible. Warrior took some good bumps. Fatu is just huge. Like Yokozuna huge...which can't be good for his health. The crowd popped huge for Fatu & Christopher dancing at the end of the match.

Time for a 15-minute intermission. During the break, two fans – one dressed as 1990-style Undertaker, the other dressed as Ultimate Warrior – had a mock match in the crowd, ending when the Undertaker removed Warrior's wig. They got a huge round of applause – their bout was ten times better than Heidenreich vs Dinsmore.

The second half began with a bikini contest. It ended in a catfight, then the three girls spanked the ref. Forgettable.

6. Brutus Beefcake (w/- Jimmy Hart) b Orlando Jordan with the sleeper. Pretty much all stalling and the bout was horrible. Orlando's theme tune is kinda disturbing. Beefcake cut off a chunk of Jordan's hair after the match.

7. Matt Cross b Shannon Moore in a ladder match by grabbing a briefcase containing $25,000 in Monopoly money. Best match of the card by far. Awesome big moves and great bumps. Cross was the heel but the crowd really liked him by the end 'cos he just killed himself on so many moves. I think the ladders (there were three in all) detracted a bit from the two guys. I think a regular match between them would've been truly awesome, but I'd give this bout at least ***.

8. Osu b Mr Ken Anderson. The man formerly known as Umaga was great here. This was a WWE-style match but it was easily the second-best bout on the card. Anderson did some nice Mr Kennedy-style mic work before the bout. He gained two visionary pins on Umaga, but the ref was unconscious. Eventually, Umaga destroyed him for the pin. Anderson didn't look out of shape here. I hope he goes to TNA and finds a niche there.

9. Hulk Hogan b Ric Flair (w/- Lacey Von Erich) in a no-DQ match. The same bout that was held in other cities. Flair bumped like crazy. Hogan looked old and frail. There were a ton of run-ins: Lacey attacked Hulk and got her dress ripped off by Jimmy Hart. She was then atomic dropped by Hogan, followed by a double noggin-knocker on her and Flair. Next came Orlando Jordan and Heidenreich, who were run off by the Nasty Boys. Umaga then ran in and did the corner smash thing before Hogan hulked up and threw him outside. Both Flair and Hogan bled buckets. Flair did just about every bump in his repertoire (including the press slam from the top rope). Finally, Flair got the big boot, Jimmy threw Hulk his megaphone and Hogan clocked Nature Boy for the three count. The crowd went nuts for everything – it was like attending a nostalgia tour by a rock band you loved in the 80s. You just wanna hear them play your fave songs live one more time. Sure, it doesn't sound as good as when they did it 20 years ago, and everyone's looking a little older and more haggard, but you cut them some slack. That's what the crowd did tonight with Hogan and Flair.

All in all, it was a fun card. Two good matches, only two truly awful bouts and the main event delivered for those of us who've never seen Hogan vs Flair live.

But they can't come back and do it again. This nostalgia ride was only good for one trip.

By James Stanios

1. Pimp Fatha beat Sean Morley. Morley did an elbow drop. Pimp slammed Morley. Morley did a neckbreaker. Pimp did a side suplex. Pimp pinned Morley using the tights.

2. Nasty Boys (managed by Jimmy Hart) wrestled Rock of Love to a double countout. All four brawled outside the ring. Result was a double countout in a very short match
3. Jon Heidenreich beat Nick Dinsmore. Heidenreich clotheslined Dinsmore. Dinsmore threw punches at Heidenreich. Dinsmore did a rock bottom. Heidenreich later pinned Dinsmore with a rock bottom.
4. Nasty Boys beat Rock of Love in a Falls Count Anywhere match. I am not familiar with Rock of Love and there were no programs for sale at the show. Saggs used a steel chair to the head. Knobbs used a chair to the back. All four brawled outside the ring. Knobbs threw a Rock of Love member into a piece of plywood. Knobbs pinned Rock of Love member.
5. Vampire Warrior & Black Pearl beat Junior Fatu (Rikishi) & Brian Christopher. Vampire superkicked Pearl. Christopher and Vampire gave each other clotheslines. Fatu gave Vampire a Samoan drop. Pearl pinned Christopher. After the match Fatu gave Pearl the stinkface. Fatu , Christopher and the ref danced.
- Next was a bikini contest between Stephanie Pietz, Koa Marie Turner and Kiara Dillon. Stephanie won. There was a catfight between two of the girls. The ref also got involved.
6. Brutus Beefcake (managed by Jimmy Hart ) beat Orlando Jordan. On the mic Jordan called Beefcake an old relic. Beefcake did a strut. Beefcake backdropped Jordan. They brawled outside the ring. Jordan gave Beefcake a side suplex. Beefcake won with a sleeper hold. 7. Matt Cross beat Shannon Moore in a ladder match. They brawled outside the ring. Cross powerbombed Moore. Cross superplexed Moore off the top of a ladder. Moore gave Cross a swinging neckbreaker off a ladder. Cross did a 450 splash on Moore. Cross grabbed the briefcase to win the match. Best match of the show and best match I have seen in Australia this year. ***
8. Uso Fatu (Umaga) beat Mr Anderson. Anderson did his catchphrase saying Mr Anderson. Anderson gave Fatu an enzuigiri but the ref was out cold. Anderson gave Fatu a Russian leg sweep. Anderson had Fatu up for a Samoan drop but he collapsed because of the weight. Fatu pinned Anderson.
9. Hulk Hogan beat Ric Flair (with Lacey Von Erich). I have been going to wrestling shows for 25 years in Australia and Hogan`s pop was the loudest I have heard at a wrestling show in Australia. Hogan got a standing ovation. Von Erich interfered in the match. Jimmy Hart also interfered in the match. Hogan gave Von Erich a safe atomic drop. Heidenreich and Jordan interfered. The Nasty Boys then interfered. Flair gave Hogan a figure four leglock. Hogan whipped Flair with his belt. Flair bladed. Uso Fatu (Umaga) interfered. Hogan hulked up. Hogan hit Flair with Hart`s megaphone and then pinned Flair. Flair carried Hogan to a perfectly acceptable match. Hogan got another standing ovation. Hogan flexed while Jimmy Hart was in the ring.

Notes: - lots of Hogan t-shirts and bandannas worn by kids and adults. Much of it bought at the show.
The show went for 3 hours 20 minutes including a 15 minute intermission.

If you think that's disturbing, if you believe the DVDR Sleaze list, Orlando Jordan (likes the occasional cock) and Ed Leslie (gay with a fetish for black guys) will possibly be having a hotel room rematch.
